You could call it the most genius and successful piece of right wing propaganda that David Cameron has used to saw off chunks of the welfare state. Demonizing anyone reliant on public money, get people repeating the Daily Mail headlines, ‘we must end this something for nothing culture’, ‘Labour went on a bigger spending spree than a wag at the world cup’, ‘Mend Britain’s broken society, these people are a drain on the taxpayer’. I could go on but it wouldn’t be fair to steal Cameron’s hard work. But why has it been so successful? Why is nobody arguing? Well the ally of a media whose biggest customer is the mass working classes certainly helps. Also the lack of a real radically opposite opposition helps too, its in our faces 24/7 and there’s no one offering an opposing answer. That is the real aim we must fulfil, not simply ‘throwing stones’ but rather, coming up with a solution.
A YouGov poll completed this week stated that Brits across the country are becoming more and more content with Austerity, stating that while cuts to our services are still severely unpopular, we are starting to accept that it is normality for the government to take away what we are entitled too. Yet we have nothing to say against this. We are awfully content. Cuts DO NOT NEED to be made to the working classes. The rich are getting richer as this goes on, many avoid paying tax and the economy is failing yet the government still overlooks this simply because the mansion owning elites are their voters! Well there are more of us. We must forget this we’re-different-to-the-underclass-drivel. Its not the immigrants. Its not lazy scroungers or our neighbours It’s the government who are to blame. Our realisation must be to understand these stereotypes of society are false. They are not the ones taking away our rights and cuts and whatever else. The government are.
George Osborne this week tried to pass legislation through the House of Lords to introduce contracts for employees to sell their workers ‘rights’ in exchange for shares in the company. These rights would include unfair dismissals, flexible working hours among other areas. This, quite frankly, is inhumane. We must remember these are not privileges, these are our RIGHTS! People have put so much work in to giving the working classes, who were once cheap slave labour, a voice. People have fought and protested for us to have equal rights but now we are going to go backwards. Along with this in the form of cuts to welfare, taxes on council houses with spare bedrooms (the new poll tax) and the privatization of our National Health Service we’re slowly being sent into poverty. Again, that Cameron propaganda, straight from his little black book of tricks. I wonder what the next bullet point in that book of potential Daily Mail headlines is? Well there’s certainly a few ideas already floating about.
One big one from Liam Walker, who runs the Hitler Youth… ahem, I mean Tory Youth wing in Oxfordshire, who is also a pal of David Cameron’s, stated yesterday that hard up families on benefits who are being forced to go to food banks wouldn’t have to if they weren’t spending all of their money on booze.
It seems these lies are not even about tough decisions to fix the economy, not that we were ever stupid enough to be convinced by that, right? In a week where GDP rose by just 0.3%, which narrowly avoided a triple dip recession, our services are being chopped here there and everywhere, but in all of the wrong places. It is the poor who spend money here and that lack of disposable income is what is making our economy suffer. Only the rich can spend money and most of that is being spent abroad or quite simply, saved. Economic methods need to be changed. The people running the country need to be changed. The people of this country need to remember that phrase from Cameron ‘we’re all in this together’ as we stand by one another instead of turning our backs on each other. That’s what the government wants.
You Only have to have watched the news in Britain in the past two weeks to see the media and government are making a massive statement of propaganda. The funeral of Thatcher consisted of a crowd in which the majority of people were making a protest, turning their backs on the coffin as it passed, yet the media focused their TV cameras on the 10% who supported her destruction of Britain. We are being told to focus on the fact she was a woman and shifted the center ground of politics and therefore changed a lot in her time in office. I agree that she changed a lot, but not for the better, she ruined lives, she closed down the industries that the north thrived on, she sent people into poverty and made decisions that were quite frankly inhumane but yet we’re being told we should respect a woman who has passed away just because she had a family. As far as millions of working class people in Britain are concerned, Thatcher did not show respect to their families and communities as she tore them apart, so why should they show respect to her now? It would be a mark of disrespect to their families and communities to do so.
If you read the Daily Mail you will see headlines of how terrible these hoodie, working class scum are for ‘stamping on the grave’ of Thatcher. Surely, this mark of celebration in which millions of working class Brits are taking to their streets in celebration shows a sign of just how much destruction Thatcherism caused and how there has been a huge sigh of relief at the passing of someone who destroyed the steel, ship building and mining industries. The woman was happy to see the north of England decline, she was wanted to destroy society and wanted people to stop thinking in terms of class. This was because, when Ted Heaths government was brought down by the miners the nation and the government knew the power of the working class and how they stuck together, and so to prevent this from ever happening again she attempted to defeat them. It brings me sadness to say that unfortunately, she did defeat the unions, but what she didn’t defeat was the working class, who despite all of the demonization of them in the media even to this day still stand strong together and the celebrations that took place yesterday are evidence of that.
The media in this country work closely with the government, they’re all run by right wing millionaires and it is not in their interest to speak against the government. You are seeing the wrong people being interviewed and the wrong people debating, its always the case. The people whose opinions matter most are that of those who suffered, the ex miners who had a look of emptiness in their eyes as youngsters handed them food packages, the pain and financial struggles that proved too much for families to cope and tore them apart. In the 20th century decisions to send people into poverty should not have occurred, but this was the way of the iron lady who didn’t have to meet the people whose lives she was destroying and it would be very silly of us to re write history only discussing her good qualities out of politeness. If we do this we will someday end up with another Margaret Thatcher, because the future generation will not realise that many of the economic problems they face are due to the economic changes she made. It is dangerous to do this out of sheer politeness, there needs to be a level of honesty about the pain and misery caused by Thatcherism.
The funeral was Tory propaganda, it was making a statement to the younger generation of how great their party is and how great she was. She had a funeral which cost £10 million which was funded by the tax payer and this is totally absurd in a time when cuts to the state are being made. It makes the statement that we don’t have money to look after the poor but we have a spare £10 million lying around for the most hated woman in Britain and this shows just how out of touch this government really is
The recent horse meat scandal in not-so-Great Britain comes as no surprise. As part of the Tory cuts, 700 food standards officers were removed, so something like this was always going to happen. Where there is a loophole in the system, people will find a way to make a product for a penny and sell it for a pound. This is another example why you cannot treat public servants as something you can cut and throw away as you please. These are real people relying on their jobs and income and the people in the country rely on them just as much.
This is exactly why supporting our small local businesses is good for a number of reasons, not only for the quality of food we are consuming, but also for our economy. However, it is clear that the people who are buying value and supermarket branded products are the poor, and it is not easy for them to go to their local butchers as their disposable income does not allow it. This is not a fault in the butchers, fishmongers or any other industry as the government would have you believe, rather it is a fault in the government’s taxation policies. We live in a society where if your income exceeds £1 million you will receive a £100,000 tax cut. Instead, it would be a better economic engine if we gave the poor a tax cut, allowing them to have more disposable income and raising the tax paid by the rich. When the rich receive a tax cut, they have more disposable income to spend in the South of France or other holidays. It is no coincidence that, as the rich get wealthier, the economy declines. By constrast, the British economy is being funded by the poor, who cannot afford to eat unless it’s a product that has been shipped across Europe and has horsemeat stuffed in it.
Aside from it just being a benefit to the economy, surely it is in our interest to change the current system of food being shipped across Europe, through Romania and France, and instead having it produced in our own country. This will ensure our food is a lot fresher and of better quality. Whilst the economic aspect of supporting local businesses is in the interest of the government, it is clear the quality of food isn’t. Why is this? Well it is not like the MPs are eating Tesco Value burgers now, is it?
The government is clearly out of touch with the people, because until you get a government is run by the people for the people this will never change. David Cameron recently stated (at a £400 a head champagne dinner) that the Conservative party are now a party of the poor. This in itself is laughable, but the fact members of the party refused to applaud after this speech shows you the extent to which they wish to disassociate themselves with us ‘plebs’. We cannot expect a man who lives on a hill in the countryside, who only ever attended the best public schools, to understand what people from East London, or inner cities up and down the country, really need.
Recently, a woman in the U.K who was receiving jobseekers allowance but employed in a voluntary job in a museum, was forced to swap this job for work experience in Poundland. This country is forcing people to work in meaningless jobs, purely to earn any income to survive as there is nothing else for them. It is all well and good that the government are encouraging work experience placements, but it is important that we ensure the work experience is relevant to future job opportunities. We have graduates unable to get any experience other than part time work in their local supermarket or a bar, and on leaving university facing unemployment or being forced to work as cleaners and shop floor assistants. There is a severe shortage of relevant work experience being offered to young people, especially in cities outside of London.
Unless the government improves the standards of living for the poor and produces a fairer taxation system to do this, there are only going to be more scandals such as the horse meat one. While the poor have no disposable income, they are only going to be able to buy the cheapest products from the big chain supermarkets as opposed to good quality fresh foods from their local small businesses. However, unless more opportunities become available to the poor, people are going to continue working in low paid jobs with no disposable income and will continue to buy cheap food.

It is clear that the Tory party, like many governments around the world, is not actually improving the quality of life of the people, instead it is feeding them statistical propaganda. David Cameron adopts a clever technique that conveys misleading information, suggesting the government is improving in significant areas, when in fact, quite the opposite is the case.
David has just released a political party broadcast; in it he discusses that this government’s cuts to welfare, amongst other areas, have paid off because the deficit has been decreased by 25%. Sounds like progress doesn’t it? It certainly does to the average Brit. However, this is one example of this Tory statistical propaganda, the terms ‘deficit’ and ‘debt’ mean two entirely different things. Debt refers to the accumulation of yearly deficits, whereas the deficit is the distance between government expenditure and revenue over the course of just one year. So yes, David, well done for spending less borrowed money, but you’re still spending money that isn’t our own!
Our debt is therefore increasing, so how exactly are we planning to cut debt when it is still growing? Well, it is clear the Tories have no plan, well they have one plan, to tell porkies. The plan is to put across misleading statistics of improvement whilst the debt continues to rise, their plan is to let it rise by 60%, much more than the previous Labour government and nobody even knew about it!
It is the same story with inflation. On the face of things, Brits believe many items are not rising in price in their supermarkets. Infact, goods are decreasing in size and quality but staying at the same price, so that is inflation is it not? I would say so. We’ve just been told the burgers we’re buying in the U.K are made from more horse than cow to cut the costs. This is not always the case, sometimes you will get 100% of what it says on the tin, but in many cases it is a smaller portion than it used to be yet you’re paying more for it! The food is less fresh, thank you to the supermarkets for killing the butchers industry, so the inflation it seems is as misleading as the governments statistics!
Are you starting to see a connection here? It is clear everything is going up in price and down in quality, yet we’re being mislead to believe the opposite is that case.
It is clear David has learned a lot of tricks from the Rupert Murdoch brigade, and as we all know from the Rebekah case he is very friendly with them. I’m sure he probably learned it in a few text messages he received from Rebekah Brookes, LOL. You can see this propaganda in the PM’s attitude towards cutting the welfare state too. Everything the PM says on the subject, which is usually along the lines of ‘people who cannot be bothered to work receive more in benefits than people in work’ sounds almost like a quotation of something from The Sun newspaper, or any of Murdochs other media sources. It is clear that all these ridiculous statements are put forward to persuade the middle and working classes to turn on one of the greatest things about the U.K; the benefits system. After all, once you get the majority on side there is nobody to stand against these fascists, meaning they can take away our security net.
And it seems to be working. I constantly hear people saying now that there is a fault in the benefits system; that it is wrong that people out of work can be better off than if they were in a full time job. Anybody with half a brain cell can see that there is nobody out there that would want to be on welfare or unemployed, receiving the bare minimum to survive is not a desirable way to live. It is also interesting we focus on this, when some of the richest members of our society are tax cheats. Surely the £3million Jimmy Carr stole is costing the economy a whole lot more?
It is clear the government is spewing nothing but lies, and this is happening with governments and media right around the world. Don’t buy into it! If you came across a bunch of toffs born into millionaire families trying to give you advice on how to live your life would you listen? Probably not, because they would have no idea how you live your life, but it seems when it is printed in a newspaper or shown on the news channels it comes across a lot more convincing. The Tory propaganda is being bought into by the masses, which is deeply worrying for our society in the future.
The whole foundation of Capitalism, the whole aspect that it relies on to function immediately shows that it does not and can not work. Capitalism thrives on growth, in reality it relies on around about 3% compound growth forever, how do you maintain growth forever in a world of limited resources? It is easy for the richest members of society to ignore this as they are the only ones benefiting, they have the luxuries and the way money is being distributed is in itself destroying the economy, we are trying to cut welfare, but how can it be beneficial to an economy for the rich to be purchasing five mansions and keeping large amounts of money within their families? The attitude of take from the poor is unfair when you consider that we are not really taking a fair proportion from the rich, quite simply we are feeding the greed of the rich. Furthermore, it is certainly not moral for someone to own five mansions when we have homeless people who cannot even get a one bedroom flat! Any ideology that allows this to happen to me looks corrupt and unfair, but they have us believe that any argument opposing this is immoral…to me a moral society would be one that everyone has opportunity and equal luxuries, surely then Capitalism is not fair.
At the moment you have to find new investment opportunities for around $1.5 trillion, think of that in 20 years time…you’ll be in a position where you have to find $3 trillion, and where are you going to find those investment opportunities when they don’t exist! This is why many Capitalists are simply investing in assets, they are putting their money into things that don’t exist simply to make more money from…money! The idea of Capitalism is about that 3% compound growth and with this our cravings for material things grows in an even larger proportion, in fact we are now at a point where our materialism exceeds our resources and this is what has gotten us into this danger in the first place! It is an interesting point when you look at society and the world as a whole, it is only a very small percentage of people who are actually benefiting and are happy with the increased luxuries, those at the top of society are a minority and the majority of us are simply feeding their craving and thus living in poverty ourselves. It is quite clear that we cannot continue this growth forever and if we do not oppose Capitalism with every bit of energy we have, it will stay. However, to imagine a world still under Capitalism in 50 years time is a dreadful image, we will be running out of many resources we now cannot live without, we will be in a very unsafe environment in terms of our health to a point where we could all be pulling gas masks on every day. Also, most scary of all perhaps, the wealth gap will continue to widen and those poorest members of society will be a hell of a lot worse off than they currently are.
It is important, however, to point out that Capitalism has brought the majority many things we didn’t have before, it has changed the world drastically and due to economic growth and the resources we now have at our disposal life is certainly a lot easier and fast paced. However, with this comes added pressures and although the world is a more secure place than it was before, it is also a more anxious, competitive one and it is quite clear it is an unhappier one too. It is clear we need a change from Capitalism and many more left wing voices are now being heard, this is promising. It would be an ideal for us to now freeze economic growth, and instead learn to use these resources we have at our disposal efficiently and fairly. It would seem like a much more logical explanation to have 0% economic growth, we must distinguish the difference between growth and development. We can now instead work on developing peoples creative capacities and powers and thus re-distribute the resources.
With the global economic crisis it is a warning that we cannot continue living out of our means, we must also look to be running things in a completely different way. The media and Capitalists have been very clever in ensuring we are in a position where it is very hard to argue against the current way of doing things, but we must somehow find an opposition because whilst it is clear we need a change from the current system, it seems it is easier to imagine the end of the world than it is to imagine the end of Capitalism. Think outside the box.
Government and Media control is out of control!
It is clear that in many ways a government can cause more harm than good, especially if its being run by Cameron or Thatcher. Governments around the world are acting more like dictatorships, but due to a number of techniques used by the partnership of government and media the majority of us do not have an inkling that it is happening. It is terrifying the lengths they can go to to not only break up working class communities, but also to stop them questioning a thing. Governments are not working, maybe it is time to work without government.
So how are they keeping us from questioning their corruption? There are many examples of popular protest in the past that have taken place, particularly in the U.K and U.S.A and it is due to these movements that the leaders and managers of the state have realized they can no longer control people individually. These protests proved that the power still very much lays with those at the bottom of society because they are the majority. It is from this that governments have since learned to control how people think and to give lessons to people to control their emotions. There is a couple of trillion dollars per year spent on these techniques in the USA, from the way an advertisement is set up for the brain of a two year old to the way economics is taught at University level. All these techniques are put in place to ensure we do not care about the treatment of others, so that we do not have the emotion of caring that people may be treated unfairly by society. It is all set up so that we have the attitude of ‘if the person across the road doesn’t have something to eat, it’s not my fault, therefore it’s not my problem and therefore I do not care. Come to think of it, do you ever remember the famous Margaret Thatcher quote “there is no such thing as society?” The prime aim of the government is so that once we have learned these emotions, society can be broken up to a point where we live as ourselves and not as a community and then the government can treat people unfairly without the questioning of those it is affecting. It is all a lesson of oppressing emotions so that we do not even know it is happening.
We are being taught by thinking of only ourselves to not consider our negative impacts on the world that in the future will affect our children. It is all a de-humanization process, this is where the anti authoritarian aspect of Anarchism is important. We have our own minds, yet we are constently being told how to think and not to think for ourselves, we are allowed to push buttons every couple of years and change a few things and we are told this is democracy! All to keep us content with the oppression of ourselves and others in our communities. This control and technique of making us all become corporate robots of capitalism is quite clear, you only have to go to your local shopping center to see that a young girls favorite pass time is to simply ‘window shop’ … again, we are becoming controlled corporate robots. We have our own minds and no human being should have the authority to think for another human being, we cannot tolerate the dictatorship of government any longer, it is dangerous.
It is quite obvious that Capitalism is beautiful in the mind of someone brought up in a multi million pound household and sent to the best school in the country, but this is an example of why having someone running a country so out of touch with those at the bottom of society doesn’t work. You must give decisions back to the people, the same way a skilled mechanic knows what is best for him and his workforce over the managers that are hidden away in the office, the same goes for society. We know what is best for us, we know how our communities function, not someone who eats Caviar like it’s going out of fashion!
All round the world with the current economic situation, it seems as though we have all came up with the same unfair answer, the answer of destroying social security. It is quite obvious that while it is certainly the easiest answer to take it from the poor, it’s not the only one as by asking the small richest percentage of society to cut even the smallest amount of their ludicrous luxuries you could have a far more effective economic solution. Greed and Capitalism go hand in hand and it is quite clear it has gotten out of control.

In Britain 2012 we still have a Class war,
In Britain there is still no hope for the Poor,
They’ll do anything to stop us having a voice,
People are on the dole because they have no fucking choice,
Government is the hoover of the welfare state,
They suck it out and empty it on the upper class plate,
Cuts occur at the bottom but not at the top,
It is clear now that this corruption will never stop,
As the economy declines so will our rights,
Our bodies have scars from Capitalist bites,
We’re still repressed and our generation is blank,
We supposedly have ‘freedom’ whilst walking the narrowest plank,
They tell us how to act,
They act like dictators,
Yet they are the ones who are lying little traitors,
They think of us as scroungers,
The useless working class scum,
Is it any wonder council estates have a culture of guns?,
We must stand up for ourselves as other generations have done,
If we don’t then I’m afraid the world for our children will be a bad one,

Osborne and Cameron are ready to attack Britain!
It is clear from George Osborne’s Autumn Statement released this week that the Tories will most definitely be grabbing their Capitalist penis, and they will be using it to fuck the working classes in the U.K harder than ever before. Osborne and Cameron are the best magicians in government, the cuts that they have made to the working classes are almost invisible! It is clear after trade unionists revealed from the statement that with these cuts being broken up into cuts to benefits and public services, by 2017 the poorest families in Britain will see 30% of their household incomes cut! That is some statistic when you consider that people on a low wage or those unemployed are already on the bare minimum, but this is the result of the medias lie, everyone on benefits loves being on them and they are too lazy to work! This is the final result of that lie being bought by the majority of this country, the Conservatives are living on cloud nine!
It wasn’t just the trickery of the hidden cuts that was impressive though, Osborne’s greatest magic trick was still to come. He has actually made his statement look as if it is FAIR! He has made it sound as though the richest in our society are about to pay a whole lot more in taxes in proportion with those at the bottom, this is what everyone in Britain has been waiting to hear, its great isn’t it? In reality, what has happened is that the richest members of our society have had their taxes cut from 50% to 45%, yet the super rich bracket has been significantly widened. So, in fact it looks as though the richest are being taxed more heavily. In reality, all that is happening is there are more people being moved into the richest bracket, but the super rich will be living even more comfortably after this budget. Come to think of it, I did hear something about Alan Sugar needing a new private jet, his old one was getting quite rusty.
The autumn statement kept referring to how the cuts to welfare can be justified, as the welfare needs to be benefiting hard working families, not those who are unemployed. However, it is obvious from the cuts that will be made, that anyone in work, right up to those earning an average income will have any welfare cut dramatically. So the argument of those in work being benefited by this does not add up at all. The only thing that seems to add up in the Conservative parties eyes is the welfare state, the bill is too high, but the bill for the royal family doesn’t seem to receive the same attention. It is important that we do not become blinded by the illusion that the lives of those at the bottom of society have improved, who cares if you have a smartphone when it’s clear that on a good income you’ll still never be able to afford your own home? In the 1930’s on an average wage you could buy your house on a 6th of your income, find someone doing that now? Or the illusion we’re better off because the working classes can now go to university, so many are ending up unemployed and homeless after it because their families cannot afford to house them. Life for the majority of us working class or middle class in the next few years certainly isn’t going to be rosy.
No matter where in the world you are reading this, it is clear that it is attack after attack on the working classes, there is only one war that should be interesting us at the moment and it’s the only one worth fighting, the class war! As the scum of society we are being attacked, the evidence is there to show it, the biggest crimes being committed at the moment are those in the houses of parliament.
